Detective Kazutoshi Gotou, a middle-aged  clumsy workaholic dedicative. He knows Yakumo along time ago and said once about their relation " our inseparable relationship". He asks for Yakumo's help whenever there is a paranormal involvement in the case he's investigating in.



when Yakumo was a just a kid, Gotou saved him after his mother tried to kill him. Few years later, he met him while he was chasing after a criminal; however, he couldn't remembered Yakumo. Again they met again when Yakumo was attacked by a bunch of guys in a park. Gotou was buying a drink nearby when he heard the noise. He remembered Yakumo once he saw him ; the guy in the park. However,when he met him eye to eye and saw his red eye, he recall the kid he saved about 10 years ago.
