He is the son of the deceased General Yu-Hon, the older cousin of Yona, as well as her and Hak Son's childhood friend, the three were best friends. He kills Yona's father and becomes the 11th King of Kouka and wants to unite the Kingdom to restore it's original power after King Il's reign.
He later meets Yona once again in Awa after Kumji's death and hides Yona from General Ju-do and the others, and states that he still has something to do when Yona wanted to kill Su-won.
